Dragon Song Press offers interactive book readings that bring our stories to life.
These engaging sessions combine live readings of our books, beloved songs from our Dragon shows, and interactive activities with our Dragon puppets.
This unique format seamlessly blends the best elements of our shows and books, creating a captivating experience for children.
Our interactive readings are ideal for schools, nurseries, charities libraries, and community events. Funding through the Scottish Book Trust is available.

About
Dragon Song Press
Dragon Song Press has published two children’s books inspired by the popular shows from Dragon Song Productions. The first illustrated book, Kipper the Sea Dragon, was released in 2023, followed by Bertie the Moon Dragon in 2024.
The third instalment in the Dragon trilogy, Inka the Ice Dragon, is scheduled for release in 2025.

Our interactive book readings typically last between 40 and 50 minutes.
We can tailor the session to suit your time constraints, reading either one or two of our self-published, illustrated books:
Kipper the Sea Dragon
Bertie the Moon Dragon
Our interactive readings feature beloved songs from our three Dragon shows and incorporate the use of our handcrafted felt puppets.
We can also provide craft packs, which include making your own crown and colouring sheets featuring our friendly Dragons.

Set-up:
Maximum Capacity: 40 children
Seating Arrangement:
Parents: 20-30 chairs arranged in a U-shape.
Children: Seated on a soft mat we provide.
Technical Requirements:
Preferred: A TV or projector to display digital copies of the illustrated books.
Optional: If unavailable, we can adapt the session accordingly.
PVG Scheme:
A full PVG Scheme check is available Rachel Huggins and all members of the Dragon Song Productions Team.
Author Rachel Huggins is a member of the Scottish Book Trust, and available for Live Literature events and interactive readings.
The Scottish Book Trust offers Live Literature events, a national program funded by Creative Scotland, that connects authors with communities across Scotland. Schools & nurseries can secure funding for these events.
